"IT'S ORGASMIC FOR ME"
"I love to pray. I really do. It's orgasmic for me."
Iyanla Vanzant recently said these words as she was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey.
That's it! She knows what I'm talking about! And she knows there are other ways to achieve an orgasmic state of mind besides simply having sex!
What makes me feel orgasmic? What makes my heart sing? What pushes me into the throes of ecstacy? So, so, so many things!
I'm a flutist, and when I'm playing my flute in a room with what I call "zingy acoustics," there's a sense of ecstasy I feel.
I love to paint with pastels, and when I get a piece of art to a point where it "sings," or "zings," that's orgasmic for me.
I've felt a delicious, ecstatic rush when I've seen an otter playing in a loch in the Orkney Islands.
I've felt a sense of orgasmic bliss as I've stepped off a treadmill.
I even felt euphoria the day my mother died, because I knew her pain was finished. Done. Complete.
Orgasms. They're not just achieved through sex any more.
What brings you orgasmic bliss?
